  • Section headings styled at H2 for consistent visual hierarchy

When to use this template

This template fits any structured business or analytical report you want to look professional without spending a half-day in Word fighting the styles panel. Use it for client deliverables, internal analyses, quarterly summaries and consulting outputs. For freeform whitepapers or design-heavy publications, a custom layout is probably a better starting point.

  • Quarterly business reviews and operational updates
  • Consulting deliverables shaped around findings and recommendations
  • Internal analyses for leadership or board distribution
  • Research summaries and benchmarking reports

Common questions

How long can the report be?

There is no length cap. The pagination engine flows content across as many pages as needed, with the section headings keeping their styling on every page. Reports of 30+ pages render the same as one-pagers.

Can I add a cover page or table of contents?

Cover page: yes, add a new heading block at the top with a page break after it and your title becomes the front. Table of contents: not auto-generated today. For now, the audit history and version diffs cover most of what teams ask a TOC to solve.

How do I include charts and data tables?

Tables are first-class blocks: insert one from the toolbar and edit cell-by-cell. Charts: export your chart as PNG or SVG from your analytics tool and drop it into the report as an image block.

Can I batch generate reports for different clients or regions?

Yes. On the Business plan, the REST API's batch endpoint generates up to 1000 reports in one call. Pass a CSV of per-client values (executive summary text, key findings, recommendations) and get back one PDF per row.

Does this support my brand fonts and colors?

Yes. Configure your brand kit in organization settings (fonts per heading level, brand colors, header and footer logo) and every report inherits the styling automatically.

Can I add a header and footer with page numbers?

Yes. Page numbers are on by default. Headers and footers are configurable per document or once at the org level so every report uses the same masthead. Both surface in the print-ready output too.

How does this differ from writing the report in Word or Google Docs?

Word and Docs are linear: you wrestle the styles panel for consistency. Quaterio uses a block-based editor where each section keeps its styling independent of what you typed before it, plus a pagination engine that owns page breaks. For one-off reports the difference is marginal; for reports you ship monthly or quarterly it compounds.

Do exports on the free plan have a watermark?

Yes, the free plan adds a small Quaterio watermark. Pro removes it. Business adds the API, version history and print-ready output for serious volume.
